Hollyhocks have been put to use in US gardens at the backs of beds and in front of unsightly fences or even the outhouse since 1631. Crème de Cassis produces bicolor blooms that vary from single to slightly ruffled (they may vary on the same stalk). All have a wine red center surrounded by pure creamy white edging. Very pretty and stately in beds. 6-8 feet, Full sun. Biennial (full blooms the second year and every year from then on). 20+ seeds.
