(Pisum sativum) Peas were Thomas Jefferson’s favorite vegetable and he grew more than 30 varieties at a time at Monticello. Gren Arrow is a classic shelling pea (grown for production of peas that are shelled from the pods and then eaten) brought to the US from England. Highly productive, pods will produce 8-10 round deep green peas - excellent fresh or cooked. Peas are a cool weather crop - plant anytime in the spring. 2-3 feet. Full sun. Annual. 20+ seeds.
