Sesame indicum Sesame has been cultivated for thousands of years. Seeds have been used historically for many purposes – eaten whole, ground for flour, and pressed for oil. Thomas Jefferson grew sesame at Monticello for salad oil production. Stately plants bloom through the second half of summer with white or rarely pink flowers and are beautiful. Most/full sun. Annual. 3-5 feet. 50+ seeds/pack.
