Baptista australis Native US perennial used by the Cherokee to produce blue dye and medicinally. Early US settlers adopted Blue Wild Indigo for the same purposes. The plant is absolutely stunning in the garden - the bloom stalks will reach up to 4 feet and will feed lots of types of bees and butterflies.
